Hilltop Campground is praised for its cleanliness, beautiful scenery, and well-maintained facilities, with many visitors appreciating the friendly camp host. Most sites offer a peaceful experience in a forested setting, with some campers noting the convenience of nearby water and trash disposal. However, a few reviews mention issues with bathroom cleanliness and site privacy, as well as occasional miscommunication regarding reservations. Overall, it remains a favorite destination for many campers.

We enjoyed our stay; however, anticipating our arrival, the campsite should have been prepared (cleaned) better.

The camp sight was clean and ready for us to enjoy the weekend. The outhouse was clean and water is provided for washing dishes. The park attendant was very nice and helpful. We will camp there again.

Great campsites that are close to Lynx Lake as well as the great hiking trails that are nearby. Campsites are in great condition!

Should not have to reserve (and pay extra fee) when so many reservation only sites were unoccupied. No campground hosts were available to answer questions.

The campground and bathrooms were very clean? We were able to use our phones most of the time. Great hiking trails, one of which led to Lynx Lake. So pretty!

Nice NF/CG. Picked up a small bag of trash left by previous campers. Never saw anyone cleaning sites between campers.

Great place! Coyotes ate out chicken at night! But overall a great place to camp!

Easy back in parking but it is a smaller camp site. We had 1 4-person ground tent and 1 truck bed tent. Space was very clean, nice easy walk to the restroom and water refill station.
You do have a person across the street and on behind you on top of the hill but we couldn’t hear them. Trail near by that takes you to the lake.

Spot #12 is beautiful. Only complaint is only the men's bathroom was open and we had a group of women. No toilet paper. So bring your own.
