Excellent! The caretaker was super friendly and helpful. The areas are so well maintained and our loop had a flushing toilet! Not to mention how incredibly beautiful it is.

We LOVED this campground and our host! We were very impressed with the setup of most of the sites, and even though the grounds are set just outside of suburbia, we still felt like we were "out there" once in the campground
We booked #12, which is set down a little from the road and surrounded by mostly trees. And just a quick 5 min walk through the woods to the lake. We were so happy with our site selection! We had originally booked #10, but when we got there we saw how close it was to the bathroom. And it smelled. The site is set downhill and down wind from the bathroom and I would bet it smells quite often. I would NOT recommend booking #10. It's such a shame because its a cozy little site!

Beware! Don’t stay here. The lake is haunted and the forest is infested with giant skunks.

Due to the last minute reservation we made, we were in Loop H #34. The site was clean but it was close to the road. Be careful of steps leading down to the site, there is erosion that leaves ledges that you can twist an ankle on. There are bathrooms with plumbing in the campground and the lake was fun to walk down to. There was a blue heron on the day were down at the lake. Its an easy to reach campground with all the comforts of civilization right down the road

They don't have the cash in the envelope option, so you have to use cellular to make your reservation. That was a bit touch and go, but we did finally get it to work.
The area is a short drive from Prescott, and you hardly know there is a city of Prescott size nearby. Many of the sites were on a wide spot in a small cul-de-sac road, with a restroom in the middle. The restrooms are only cleaned 3 days a week, according to the sign, but they were clean enough. The tables at the site were generally clean, but I did feel the need to wipe them down.

The camp host was very helpful when I needed to change camp sites. He went out of his way to assist me including contacting Rec.gov to make the necessary changes. The camp itself was well maintained, clean and pleasant.
