The site for setting up our tents (2) was fantastic! It was a large area, level, and covered in small size granite gravel. Parking was adequate for a vehicle and tent trailer. The walk to the lake through the woods is short.

The camp host, who has been the same for the last few years, was adamant on keeping all vehicle wheels on the pavement. For the last several years we have been able to encroach on the dirt a few inches when having visitors, whom were also registered campers at Lynx Lake. This resulted in several confrontations with the members of our fellow campers. The constant badgering from the camp host made this years camping experience a lot less enjoyable than the many past years. He was generally very pleasant but the wheels on asphalt thing became compulsive. Once again we were talking inches and not feet.

Our camping experience was AMAZING! The campsites were clean. The bathrooms were also pretty clean and didn't have that nasty smell you'd expect. No coons at night either. We brought our big fluffy German shepherd with us. He also had a blast!! Everyone there was super inviting and friendly. oh and did I mention The lake was freaking BEAUTIFUL! !! We went fishing, but didn't have much luck. However, our neighbors that were about 20 feet away from me were bringing in some nice trout and bass. So there are DEFINITELY fish in there! Lol I'd also recommend bringing some good binoculars. An older gentleman on the hiking trail had some and he saw a bald eagle from across the lake.
I can't wait till next time! Lynx Lake is DEFINITELY one of the best campgrounds i have ever been to!!

Mike was the camp host. Guy is great!!! Explains all rules and doesn't bother you after, but if you need him, he is extremely available. Quiet place.
I do not like paid camping because to many people too close together along with disrespectful campers invading your spot and noisy. This place is exactly opposite. I will say there is a lot of traffic driving through to find a spot. Also it is reserve-able. Great little lake access just up the street included with your paid camping. Kayaking smooth waters. Nice Hike around the lake. All around a great spot to go if you are not headed to the boonies like we do.

Best place to camp on Halloween and enjoy the great activities and tricker treating with family in Prescott. The camp is always well taking care off and the camp ground hosts are awesome. Especially Mike!

The sites are terrible and the host was very rude. We ended up leaving and going to another campsite.
