Each loop has only a handful of campsites so it's nice to not have a ton of traffic driving by as the main loop tends to bypass each section.
The sites don't seem to be overly large but are perfect for tenting, with a nicely raked tent pad, good size cement picnic table, and campfire ring. We did see RVs set up so likely not much of a concern.
The campground does not have a designated check in so with the assumption you have pre-paid, you simply find your site, begin set up, and the host stops by to confirm. Otherwise for space available bookings, if the campground has space you just grab an available spot and pay onsite.
The campground is within walking distance of Lynx Lake which has an easy walking path around it, but note the marina store and boat rental facility are closed due to COVID. The campground is also closer to Prescott than we realized and thought we would get some serious traffic noise but surprisingly not, there was a bit of traffic in the morning for a short time but nothing that was overly loud or irritating.
Flush toilets are well maintained, as is the overall campground itself. The hosts stop by at least once a day and are very helpful.
My only concern, per se, would be if there is an issue there is no way to contact the host since there is no dedicated check in spot, although they do have a site within the campground just off the entrance.
The one thing I would call out is that the vast majority of the camp sites do not have any shade cover so it would be important to have some kind of canopy for the afternoons.
Would absolutely recommend the Lynx Campground and hope to come back again for another stay.

weather was warm during the day and cool enough for a campfire at night. our kids and grandkids joined us for our 3 days and we were able to enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding all 3 days; we had a great time. next time we want to make sure we get campsites that are on the same level as the parking to make using the trailers easier.

Even though there are limited sites on each loop they are grouped close together. That plus the proximity to Warner road noise detracts from the peacefulness of camping.

The grounds are well maintained and staff very friendly. The camp area is far enough from town to feel away, out in nature, but still close enough for a quick run in if something is needed.
Lots of trails leading to the lake.
Definitely recommend for family outing.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Side D-19 is a great double site for camping with our camping buddies. This sight has it’s own covered pavilion. And lots of room and privacy. We just LOVE it. Will return time and time again.

09/08-09/09/2020 - Beautiful setting amongst the tall Pondarosa pines and easy shoreline access via short trails to a paved walking path around the lake. The campsites were very clean as the bathrooms as well. There is potable water and flush toilets, but no showers or bathing facilities. You feel miles away from civilization, yet Costco is only 2.5 mile away. Fires were permitted in the approved metal fire rings even though there was a fire ban in the county. We had a hard time finding firewood since the weekend before our stay was the Labor Day holiday, but managed to get some at Walmart (.68 CuFt was $6.88, Home Depot wanted $22 for their one and only bag). I found that we went through two of the .68 cf boxes a night, which supplied plenty of that camping ambience and much needed heat (43 degrees at night). I paid the extra $8 to reserve a spot, but there were a lot of empty spots during the work week. Driving around the campground, I really didn't see more than one or two camp sites that might possibly have a view of the lake. Most spots are back in sites with a few pull through ones. All in all, a really great spot to stay the night or two and Patrick and Michael (hosts) keep the grounds very clean.

The sites are very well manicured, but the hosts are very strict even during the day for any music or chatting above a conversation. People are there to camp and enjoy nature playing some music shouldn't be an issue.
