The campground is great! Sadly, late September, there were a whole lot of hornets and our kids wouldnβt venture from the camper so we didnβt even stay. Lovely layout and infrastructure. This would be 5 stars if it werenβt for the hornets.

There is a terrible Wasp and Bee problem here. (9/2021) The water spigots and Bathrooms are swarmed with these insects. They also invaded our campsite within 24 hours and made it unbearable. I have no fear of bees or allergies, but itβs was insane the numbers flying around. Using the bathroom facilities means being enclosed in with many large Wasps flying around you also.

This was a lovely little campground very near Prescott. The views of Granite Mountain from camp were stunning. There is a small lake nearby for a picnic and fishing. just stayed one night but was very nice.

The campground is spacious, so your neighbors are not on top of you. The sites are set up with level pads for tents. Our only problem was that we had two people with tents and didn't realize that sites really are set up for just one tent. You have to get a "double site" if you want to set up two tents on a level pad. We managed to put the other tent in an acceptable spot on our site. So even though you can have up to 5 people in a single site, double check that you can fit two tents on your site if needed. Great hiking trails right from the campground. The composting toilets nearer to Sites 4 and 6 have almost no odor...nice. The other traditional pit toilets near site 15 smelled as usual for those types of toilets. We'd stay here again. Probably would select sites 1-5, 8-10.

We noticed residual trash from previous campers in a couple different sites.
