Nice, clean campground, with some great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Spaces can be very close and wish they had an online campground map. Our space, Coyote 231, had great views of the lake, but ended up being right by the boat landing area and parking lot. Fortunately, we were there in the off season and traffic was limited. All in all, we will be back!

The campground was great. Bathrooms were clean. Lake access was super easy with our kayak. It was easy to get around and find what we needed. Would love to come back and stay longer!

Beautiful campground. Amazing views, clean campsite and bathrooms. Water is heated by solar so if it is cloudy you take a cold shower.

We have been camping at Windy Hill for 25 years. Two 2-week trips each year. For the fourth year in a row, the showers either didn't work or they had no hot water. This trip was no hot water. The camp was almost empty.
In addition, I find it infuriating that you do not allow reservations for October. October is one of the most beautiful times to be at Lake Roosevelt, but you do not allow reservations, That makes no sense. You also do not allow seniors or disabled veterans discounts for double sites. That, too, makes no sense.

No rules are enforced. 4 vehicles and 3 tents nearby. Since firewood wasn’t available that family scavaged nearby and cooked all their meals over their smokey fire. Another site had 4 dogs that were not always tied up. There was no warm shower water so a family took 5 children to the boat ramp to clean up (in Nov). Our site had been cut with a shredder but all the burrs were all over the site. The host didn’t have a rake that we could use to clean the mess up.
We left 2 days early because this is the worst of 7 public Arizona parks we have stayed in.

I think all campsites should be available for reservation not just the odds

The campground is very nice, great landscaping, nice bathroom and shower buildings. Water for the shower wasn’t super hot, but better than no shower. We were there during Thanksgiving week and it was very unbusy.
The surrounding area doesn’t have much to do as far as towns, shops and restaurants, but the views are great.
