Too noisy due to large groups, we were across the road from the toilets and garbage cans. The young children would lock the toilet doors and the doors would shut after they leave. The toilet would be unusable for the other guests.

The campground needs some improvements. The road has tons of potholes, and the parking pads at the campsites are the same. Lots of overgrown grass around the campsites. There are no signs pointing you to your campsite, and it can be confusing, especially at night. The showers were hot! So for $22 per night, this was a good campground. It is located near a few trailheads and about 20 minutes to Uptown Sedona, but it takes another 20 minutes to get to the majority of the hiking and mountain biking trailheads. It would be nice if the new shuttle came out this far.

Nice location that puts you smack in the middle of Oak Creek Canyon. There are some great forested hiked in the area (one you can actually walk to across the road from the campground) which made for a nice change of pace from our usual red rock camping experience in Sedona. The campground is filled with beautiful ponderosa pines and is sandwiched between the creek and a mountain face. We visited when the campground was technically closed for the season (there was a website glitch that opened up reservations) so we had a pick of almost any site and opted for one closer to the showers near the entrance for a mountain view in the morning.

Flush toilets were clean and maintained and the showers were nice and hot! Word to the wise, don't forget to grab some shower tokens from the general store before they close for the night as there are no token machines. When we visited, there was a sign posted stating shower hours ended at 6pm so plan ahead you're like us and prefer night showers when camping. Lastly, if you do plan on heading south to any of the red rocks hikes, just be aware that Highway 89A can get a little backed up — the drive is so wonderfully scenic so we didn't really mind the extra time spent driving!

Beautiful campground and site. Nice rangers. Accessible water.

It feels like the campground is built to accommodate as many people as possible. A tent can be 30ft from another person's site so it just takes one site that wants to get loaded and stay up all night, then a whole section of the campsite can be up until 2-3 am (which happened). The seven-night rule was a huge pain and should be changed to 10 nights. Locking people out of the only camping in Sedona after 7 nights makes no sense.

Beautiful location just north of Sedona. Clean bathrooms, amazing views, campsites nicely spread out, and easy to find. If we could have, we would have stayed here for our whole vacation! Must go when they are open.
