Peter, the camp host was great! He advised us where to go (the Oak Creek). We went (but it was icy, so we didn't go far, however), it just pointed us in a good direction to get us going and keep exploring.

Nights were cold.
The host was accommodating and entire campground ⛺️ was clean and well kept.
Great location, beautiful stream, and hiking trails nearby.

Frank and Jen are excellent hosts! My wife and I really appreciate how beautiful, clean, quiet and well maintained the campground is. We have camped at Manzanita twice in the past 2 months and are looking forward to the next chance we get to return.

This is a nice campsite close to uptown Sedona. This makes the site pretty centrally located, however, it also means that there are frequent cars and trucks driving past on the road directly above the site. The bathroom is only a pit toilet (no sink), but it was very clean throughout our stay with plenty of toilet paper. The biggest negative for us was when we arrived at the campsite, the host did not have any firewood for purchase nor did she help us identify a place that sold it nearby. We camped in November when the temperatures dipped below freezing, so firewood was non-negotiable. We ended up finding some at a gas station but would have appreciated at least a recommendation from the host of where to go.

Sites are not like what is shown on website. Many are suitable only for tents as the "parking" is not on the site but parallel in a very small area which adjoins some sites. Specifically, #14 is the one I reserved that was not usable for me as I slept in my van. There are some sites that you can park a small vehicle in. I was given #2 instead which is a "no reservation" site as #14 would not work for me. That said - the area is beautiful with Oak creek running through. If you have a tent you can use a site by the creek. Toilets very clean. No shower. There were a lot of vacant spots even though sign said "camp full". Was told people just didn't show up - was very cold that day. Slide park is very close.
