Manzanita.

Stayed at campsite 14 and had a great time for 2 nights. Campsite 14 is close to entry and bathroom, which we thought may be a negative thing when we arrived however it turned out fine. Kids loved going down to the creek on our little path down there and restrooms were cleaned often.

Perfect spot, surrounded by red rocks and the everflowing sound of the river which is basically right there. A lot to explore in the area and the host, older man and his wife was absolutely an angel. We met wonderful people and had the best time. Thank you!!!

The camp site itself was clean, bathrooms clean but the areas near the stream had trash.
Too many people parked up top on the road and walked through the campground to get to the stream. They brought shades, chairs, loud music and tables. It limited the actual campers from enjoying the water Themselves.

The camp sites had plenty of space, great location to go visit many activities, close to shopping and restaurants. The running stream was so pleasant to sit by after a great day of hiking as well as a cool dip. Our host , Lydia was so nice, she made sure we had everything we needed and she was very knowable of the area. We will defiantly be back!

Great location and little campsite. Clean and organized well and it’s awesome it’s tent only. Will be back for sure.

Perfect launch pad for anything you want to do in Sedona and not too far from Flagstaff too. Campsite is next to a river that provides ambient noise that is pleasant to fall asleep to. You will be close to the popular West Fork Trail and could possibly drop people off and have someone drive back here to avoid the trail fee (Arizona and its trail fees, eye roll). Campsites are all pretty close to each other so keep that in mind if you like lots of space.

Beautiful little campground right along the bubbling Oak Creek. We had site #12, which had stone steps from our campervan parking spot to access the site with fire pit and picnic table (site would be beautiful for tents), and could walk right to the river. The sound of the river was very nice. Four vault toilets maintained okay and easy access. Fire wood was available for $7. Camp host Lydia was very personable and responsive - great job. Other campers were experienced and courteous. This was a perfect spot in winter for our two days of exploring and hiking around Sedona.

Dennis and Lydia (please excuse my spelling if I wrote either name incorrectly) were phenomenal camp hosts. We were greeted right away and warmly. Dennis gave us the full “lay of the land” and even recommended an outstanding local hike we enjoyed immensely. Lydia was available to help us rent some chairs, change our campsite, and purchase wood. When the fire pit has been dug out by a critter, she took time to repair the damages. Both hosts were consistently friendly and knowledgeable. The campsites were clean and the rest of the facilities were welcoming and safe. From a distance, we observed that the hosts provided exemplary customer service and hospitality to each and every visitor who checked into Manzanita.

Campground is fairly convenient to town. I was surprised that Sedona doesn’t have more camping options, considering its popularity as a biking destination. Hosts were pleasant and welcoming. Would be nice if Manzanita had showers, as it’s the only Oak Creek Canyon campground that is open year round. There was extensive night road construction for our entire stay, which was quite loud and disruptive - would have been nice to know about that in advance. There is a skunk problem at the campground, and we had a nocturnal visit from a few hungry javelinas as well, even though our site was trash and food-free. Perhaps some camper training and public outreach regarding the dangers of feeding wildlife and careless food storage would be prudent. Or, even better, some bear-proof food storage containers similar to those that we have in my home state of Colorado. Location is right next to Oak Creek, which is pleasant, but campers should know that it’s also very close to the road, which is a busy thoroughfare with fairly heavy traffic.
