Apache Trout Campground consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and well-maintained facilities. This is our favorite "long weekend" campground to escape the heat of AZ as it is only about a 5 hours drive. The campground is always clean, and the camp hosts are friendly and accommodating, and have been there for the past three years we have been visiting this site.

Camp grounds are great, but the kept locking the showers up. After coming off the “are, cleaning fish and then heading to the camp sight after dark, only to find the showers locked up…..that’s a bit disappointing

These are my recommendations for improvements. Better shower heads. Slightly warmer water temperature for showers. A curtain so the water does not go all over the entire floor. Showers open long than from 7 to 7. A bench to put your stuff while in the shower. See Canyon Point campground for an example.

This campground was great. My site was level, bathrooms and showers operated as advertised, and the camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. Right across the street from the lake. My only complaint is people driving way too fast through the campground and kicking up a lot of unnecessary dust, but that seems to be a theme at all locations. I will be back!
