The lake is easy to access and fishing is good! Weather is excellent and everyone is so helpful and friendly. Get getaway from the heat of the desert!

The lake is beautiful and there are a lot of people fishing, canoeing, and paddle boarding on it. The only issue is that the campsites are really close to each other and there is no natural dividers between them. You see and hear everything in 4 or 5 campsites around you. We had campsite 64 which has a great open view of the lake and two bathrooms nearby.

Beautiful site, and an uncrowded lake to paddle board on. A great time.

Excellent sites and very friendly hosts. My greatest DISAPPOINTMENT was that the black/grey waste site is/was closed. Will NOT return until they are open again!

Busy but plenty of room. Hiking in the area is great. Some wildlife close by. We spotted an elk early in the morning after hearing him bugle for a couple hours pre-dawn. Sites are clean restroom are clean water easy walk to get to from every where.

The campground was very nice, clean and quiet. We were allowed to have a campfire every night. The view of all the stars in the night sky was amazing. The gravel road to the campground was not so nice - pretty rough. Some parts was like driving on a washboard. You could barely go five mile per hour in some parts. The gravel road is approximately 10 miles to the campground. Cell phone service is poor but there are plenty of signs on how to get there. We took a trip to Sycamore Canyon Point (the second largest canyon in Arizona) - it was breathtakingly beautiful.

I have never seen such overcrowding. So much so that I left 2 days early. The single sites in my vicinity had 10 or more people and several cars. It was noisy and crowded and the 2 toilets were insufficient. The host offered to quiet people and suggested requesting a refund for the 2 days I wasn't there. That many people are noisy. I tried a refund but both the email and phones for refunds were down indefinitely. Not worth the effort. Will be camping in the national forest until I am assured the overcrowding will stop.

In Williams, Arizona, turn south onto 4th Street/County Road 73 and drive about 9 miles to Forest Road 110. Turn left and proceed for approximately 7 miles to FR 109. Turn left again and follow for about 3 miles to the campground.
Forest Roads 110 and 109 are high-use roads and can become rough during peak season. During the winter, roads may be closed due to snow cover.
