What Guests Are Saying
Edgewood campground offers a beautiful setting with scenic views of the lake and thick forest, making it a peaceful retreat for campers. Many visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, including showers, and the helpfulness of staff, particularly during emergencies. However, there are concerns about restroom cleanliness, maintenance of some sites, and the need for better communication regarding site amenities and accessibility. Overall, many guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return, albeit to different sites.

Site 31 - nice campsite (easy to back into), can see the lake if there is no camper across the road. short walk to restroom/shower (these were clean), short walk to swimming hole. The 1st day we were there the traffic was heavy coming thru camp to go to the swimming hole (it was Sunday of Memorial Weekend), The only complaint I have is that there were several large potholes in the road thru out the camp site and it made riding a road bike difficult. Great Host as well. Saw Park Rangers several times thru out the days just coming thru checking on things.

We've camped at Edgewood for over 20 years and it's sad how this area and so many other USACE campgrounds have fallen into disrepair. There were many deep potholes in all the roads, some so deep that I saw some children have wrecks on their bicycles. The shower houses were filthy in spite of visits by cleaning crews (often only one person). One of my daughters said there were human feces on the the restroom floor that remained there several days even after the cleaning person had been there. In the shower house some of the faucets would not turn on but I did notice that was repaired before the end of our week there. I understand that funding for USACE campgrounds has been reduced during the past several years but that is no excuse the cleaning people to fail to do their jobs. Family tradition will bring us back again next year but I hope conditions improve.

We’ve been camping at Edgewood for years. The restrooms/shower house could really use some attention. Had issues with shower faucets, hard to adjust the temp of water, almost like the faucet handles were stripped screws. Bathroom floor had feces on it for 3-4 days before someone cleaned it. Missing/broken tiles in shower floor. We know they don’t have the funds/ resources they used to have but it really could use some updates.

My family and I love camping at Edgewood. We have visited here for 25 years. The only set back is the lack of maintenance. Grass not cut and the roads are getting very bad. It was impossible to miss huge potholes very hard on your RV and vehicles. The beach never has sand and it looks to be eroding away. It's a shame for such a beautiful place.
