What Guests Are Saying

Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

Loved that the campsites had concrete areas with the picnic tables. Beautiful river. Nice playground. But the bathrooms!!! Oh my goodness- the cleanest we have ever been in at a camp!

Campground is well laid out and well maintained. Awesome playgrounds. Clean bathhouses and facilities. Different areas have a different feel we chose to be by water and enjoyed it. Kid and pet friendly. Nice roads to bike on. Close to town if you need something. Only major down side was management and rangers not enforcing over populated campsites with excessive cars parked all around I'm talking 14 cars at 3 sites! We also had to ask a random man to leave our campsite as he thought he could come in after dark and park at OUR campsite to fish! The ups outweighed the few downs. We will definitely camp here again.

We have always enjoyed our stay at Toad Suck Park and missed it very much after the flood. The repairs to the facility are very well done. We are so glad that we can come back to stay at a place that is close to our family. The camp host and volunteers did such a wonderful job of taking care of our questions and assisting when needed.

Lot C-6. Traffic going over the river was loud. The constant blowing of the horn and siren at the lock and dam was annoying all night. The cover over the table was gone and stubs of the 4x4's were sticking out of the concrete 4-5 inches so I had to put buckets over them to keep from tripping over them. The parking area for the camper had a downhill incline so your tongue is on the ground. We will not come back.
