What Guests Are Saying
Starkey Campground offers a peaceful environment, ideal for families and those looking to kayak on Beaver Lake. While some sites are challenging to access and amenities like restrooms need upgrades, many guests appreciate the beautiful views, spacious sites, and proximity to the lake. Overall, it has potential as a quiet retreat, but improvements in maintenance and services are recommended.

Beware if your not in full hook up then your water hydrant is 300feet away. Not only that but you cannot run a hose from the hydrant to your trailer. You have to fill your trailer if it has a tank and use out of it. The showers do not have hot water and the dump station is on the wrong side for dumping. The sites are on a steep mountain. Un level sites. Poor directions for what sites are where. Aside from this beautiful area and great camp host.

Not on the lake and roads in area are very torturous but nice to have full hook up...rare on ACOE campgrounds.

I wanted to stay here but, we were flooded in for a week and never could get ahold of anyone to see about changing our reservations or canceling.

Camp sites are falling apart literally. Paved surfaces are crumbling and very uneven. Could not safely level small RV so we needed to move and find a better site.

This was a very beautiful place. Beaver Lake is one of the clearest and prettiest place I have ever seen.We stayed the first two weeks in Sept. The Host Phyllis and Gary were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They were friendly, helpful and just all around fantastic people. We stayed in site 5 we had a very nice site Deer were there all the time. They keep the place spotless and make rounds often. The only thing wrong is The Corp.needs to spend more money there it is not nearly used to is full potential.

- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee.
