What Guests Are Saying
Starkey Campground offers a peaceful environment, ideal for families and those looking to kayak on Beaver Lake. While some sites are challenging to access and amenities like restrooms need upgrades, many guests appreciate the beautiful views, spacious sites, and proximity to the lake. Overall, it has potential as a quiet retreat, but improvements in maintenance and services are recommended.

As advertised by other reviewers, lots of shade and good trees for hammocks, right on the water. Dogs loved it. Also lots of bugs #Arkansas. Really a great campsite but not tent friendly. That part of the camp has a steep grade and we had to set up our tent in our "parking spot" to be level which made it hard to pin down.
Tons of wake while swimming, kids were having a blast.
Really close to Eureka if you need to escape to civilization.
4 stars because the mens bathroom light was out which made it super creepy at night. However the bathrooms were super clean due to COVID - employees came each morning to disinfect it.
Would highly recommend taking one of the sites close to the water because that hill going up is not joke.

The Corp really needs to put some efforts into upgrading the entire campground. Certainly not the fault of the campground host but the bathrooms are horrible, the campsites are lacking and the only view of the lake is from a parking lot! I understand that due to budget restraints certain things just aren’t in the budget. However, this is by far the worst Corp of Engineers Park we have ever stayed at. We actually left after a single night. I would certainly recommend the Dam Site or the park below the dam over Starkey anytime.

park was nicely taken care of and the lake was amazing. Eureka Springs was 15 minutes away and my wife loved it.
