What Guests Are Saying
Starkey Campground offers a peaceful environment, ideal for families and those looking to kayak on Beaver Lake. While some sites are challenging to access and amenities like restrooms need upgrades, many guests appreciate the beautiful views, spacious sites, and proximity to the lake. Overall, it has potential as a quiet retreat, but improvements in maintenance and services are recommended.

Great location! Easy access to the marina and boat launch.

We had a good time, but there was never an attendant at the main entrance for 4 days. The dumpster was overflowing the first afternoon we arrived and was never attended to. Lots of tent campers in the big stalls, and tons of traffic all through the night.
Take tick/bug spray. Hopefully we had a so so experience because it was early in the year. Maybe it will get better.

I was greatly disappointed in this experience. I booked for several days but when I got there, heavy construction was taking place. There were gravel trucks going by my campsite all day, with backhoes running and jackhammering. I moved to a different site to try to escape the noise but it didn’t help. I felt like I was in a war zone. The noise was excruciating.
After a few days, I had had enough. When I asked to cancel my remaIning days, The cancellation fee to be charged was TWICE AS MUCH than if I stayed. So I left without cancelling. (I’m not going to pay to be gone from there!)
Then when I got to my next campground, I was not allowed to use my Senior Pass for the discount there because your system showed I was still at this one. The cancellation fees are a scam. When a campground is under construction, it should be noted and we should not be required to stay by charging exorbitant cancellation fees.

Nice area with playground if you have small children. Our grandchildren came out for the day and they really enjoyed it! There is however, lots of dogs camping as well but they are on a leash. It's not quiet by any means if that's what you're looking for!

Perfect campsite for rv campers, however if you are a tent camper it is terrible. Ground is too hard to get stakes in because it is all rock under the ground. Also, the spider infested bathrooms are basically unusable. Not a tent friendly campground whatsoever.

- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
