What Guests Are Saying
Starkey Campground offers a peaceful environment, ideal for families and those looking to kayak on Beaver Lake. While some sites are challenging to access and amenities like restrooms need upgrades, many guests appreciate the beautiful views, spacious sites, and proximity to the lake. Overall, it has potential as a quiet retreat, but improvements in maintenance and services are recommended.

This park was hard to get to. Once in the park, there was not an attendant. The park is not marked as to the campsite numbers. It was very hard to get our 5th wheel around. We went to the bottom and came up the hill which was a heavy pull. Once in the right campsite, it was very shaded and had a lot of room. The showers are just okay. only 1 was working. The restrooms are not the flush type. There is not really a swim beach at this park.

Pad was very short and narrow with lumps. We didn’t have a hard time leveling our 16ft camper but it was very very difficult to back in. Also the sites are all very steep on a hill. There are only hole bathrooms and no water hookups. It was very near the water for kayaks which was nice. The roads leading to the site are VERY dangerous, curvy, and narrow. It was a good experience but we will not back.

We loved that the park was pretty much empty for the week. Flushing toilets would be nice as we did not have a long enough septic hose due to the way the campsite was laid out. Park attendants were great. We will be back!
