What Guests Are Saying
Lost Bridge South is a well-loved campground with spacious sites offering stunning views of Beaver Lake, making it a favorite for many families. The facilities, including clean shower/toilet rooms and friendly staff, contribute to a pleasant camping experience, despite some concerns over the need for deeper cleaning and updates. Some sites present challenges for larger RVs due to steep drop-offs and tight access, but overall, visitors appreciate the natural beauty and amenities of the area.

We had site 23. That site would be ok for a very small popup or tent. We have a 23ft trailer and it was very difficult to back up. The site is very slanted and was extremely difficult to level. Had we had at least 2 more packs of leveling blocks it would have been easier. There is flood damage in the campground (don't know when it happened) and has not been cleaned up yet. A few sites are blocked off. I didn't use the bathroom/showers but did go in and look. Needs updating. The water and power outlets were about the only thing good about this site. Trash left over from previous campers along with dog "messes" in the tall grass that had not been mowed.

It's went downhill. Bathrooms need some love. First night (Friday) there wasn't any toilet paper in the bathrooms. Showers are in need of repairs or upgrades. Boat ramp needs done,no traction for the steepness. Had a problem with the electric pedestal not working. Luckily the next spot wasn't taken, and we had an extention cord. Most people probably don't. Bit it was very quiet and relaxing. So overall enjoyed our 3 days. But until upgrades are done, we won't be back.

The camp host was wonderful. The toilet paper was great. The bathrooms were cleaned every morning.
The only problem was every single morning at 3:45 a.m. trucks and boats came in to get in the lake at the boat ramp. The people were shouting and woke us up every morning. I wish they would use another boat ramp until 6:30 a.m.

Nice peaceful spot by the lake. Can pull the kayaks right up to camp from the water. A little sunny in the morning and afternoon. Good shady mid-day spot with a huge tree.

We arrived at the check in gate with no one on duty. We proceeded to our camp site number 31. Due to the slope of the pad, we had to use mutliple blocks to level the RV which this caused our steps of the RV to be extremly high off the pad. Also, around the picnic area there was drop offs with loose gravel which was a fall hazard. We both have knee
problems and at the age 80 it was unsafe for both of us. However, if someone had been on duty at the camp, we would have asked to relocate. After one hour of discussing the situation, we felt we needed to leave. We returned home and contacted Recreation.Gov with our complaint. We asked for a refund. We were told this complaint would be forwarded to the Facility Manager and we would get an email stating a ruling on this matter. To date we have not received any word on this matter.
