I loved how close we were to the water because it was soooo hot out while we were there. The only down side is there was no water at individual campsites.

Bathrooms in the Pines are awful. For the price we pay to camp there, there needs to be flushable toilets!

Site 33 was a tight fit and ended up not pulling motor home into due to the location of it and the drop offs on side of the curved drive. Was under impression site had water when they didnβt. Rest of the camp ground observed was dirty with trash all over the place. No one was at guard shack when we arrived for a check in. This seems to be an older camp ground with most camp sites not made for larger rigs and would not recommend reserving a site without prior inspection of to make sure camper will fit.
Boat ramp area and lake were nice. Would return to go out on lake but stay at another location as I ended up having to do during this trip.

There was a stray dog that was wondering around the campgrounds. He would wonder into each camp including mine where we had our dogs on leashes. When I brought it to the site attendants they both told me that it wasnβt their job to deal with strays. I DID NOT PAY TO CAMP TO DEAL WITH SOMEONE ELSES DOG. We were forced to leave our camp and take our dogs all the way home and hire someone to watch them.

Had a great time. Great weather, plus we seen Sheriff dept patrolling the area so we felt safe and camp ground was quiet and peaceful. Only loud sounds came from marina and that was shut down after a few minutes.
