What Guests Are Saying
Dam - Quarry campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-kept grounds, and great trout fishing in the Norfork River. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and friendly park staff, with several expressing a strong desire to return. However, there are concerns about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and some facilities needing maintenance, which some attribute to the behavior of other campers rather than park management.

Love this campground! I love trout fishing and this campground is perfect for that with the North Fork River running beside it. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy this campground. I wish all of the sites on the river side had the large covered area like the top part though. I tent camp and the top sites have better shade and cover for my belongings. nice showers. The light in the middle should be on a timer or turned off at night. It will light up your tent like sunlight. You have to really watch where you reserve for tent camping.

I stayed in site 12 on Thanksgiving weekend. The weather and the view of the river from the site were both perfect! Certain times of the year, there is no water at some sites and 12 is one of them. But there is a spigot right across the road and the bathhouses are right there as well. Bathhouses were clean each of the 5 days I was there. The campground was (and always is) very well maintained and is within close driving distance of several great towns, with something to do in each. I was busy with holiday events or I would have put a fishing line in; great fishing at the campground! All of this to say, don't let the no water issue hold you back from staying in one of the river facing sites during the off season; amenities are close by and the view is more than worth it!

I enjoyed my 2 wks stay at Dam Quarry. The park is well patrolled by the park attendants and the park rangers. They were always willing to answer any questions I had. My only complaint was phone reception was very poor to nonexistent.

We love camping trips to this park. The sites are clean with water and electric at each site. The shower and bathroom facilities are well maintained and great hot water.I only have 2 recommendations, more clothes hooks in the
shower areas and the fire rings may need replacement soon.

Nice campground with plenty of room to bike and walk. Bathrooms weren’t real clean and water was only like warm for showers. Playground was very loud from screaming kids. We were near the check in booth and in a circle loop for people going to the boat launch. Very busy for that reason. When we got there we found dog poop all over our site. Also the water had been shut off on our loop but not others. I would get a site on the water and the sites in the middle of the campground seemed very nice. Camp host was nice and helpful to find firewood. The trout stream below the dam was beautiful and we saw lots of trout caught. Would stay again.
