Nice campground especially uncrowded in spring. There is a very noisy sewer treatment plant in the middle of area where there are campsites. This should be listed as a warning. If you are in RV you may not be bothered but tent campers and pop ups will go crazy with the loud noise cycling on and off. We would have gone to different site had we known. #35,36,37 bad noise and 38 and 39 lesser so.

Loved the campground. Beautiful site.
I should have checked the directions better. We first went to the Arkansas State
Lake Park first. They were very helpful and gave us the map for the Corp of Engineer's park.
The highway sign to the Joplin campground said Joplin recreation site and had a boat and no camping indication. We had to pass it and come back when I realized it was indeed the camp ground. Also we had 10 A and the A was not on the marked sites. All in all worked out !

We enjoyed our stay at the Joplin campground. Our RV site was freshly paved with limestone, however, leveling our trailer was slightly challenging. The hills and tight turns made turning around difficult after we originally passed up the entrance to our loop. Hookup was easy. Our view was unbeatable, and we can’t wait to go back!
