Love the park and the restaurant , The PIE is great!!!/. The only bad thing was the electric at site 33 was messed up, The 30 amp plug was melted and the 50 amp breaker would get really hot and trip with just the 2 air units going, It looks like it got hot at some point, will need to be repaired. Lucky it was mild weather and we just used one A/C unit.

Tompkins Bend Campground is a beautiful spot on Lake Ouchita. We stayed in Site 13, on Loop D, I believe. It was right on the shore line and very level. Just an FYI we checked out Site 10, and the fire pit was totally sunken into the ground. Most sites were very shaded. The bathhouses were very clean and well maintained, and they were also heated! Which was nice for the chilly march mornings. We had a clear view of the boat ramp from our site, so in the summer it might be a little noisy, but over all it was a great experience!

Wonderful spot during off season camping. Main recommendation, given to me by another camper AFTER I had pulled in and gotten set up, if you are going to use space 19, go in opposite traffic. That will put the electric and water on the passenger side but your trailer/RV access will then be on the same side as the tables and BBQ as well as not having to exit your rig immediately onto the roadway.

Beautiful setting surrounded by woods and the lake. There were several hikes accessible from the campground. Site required leveling blocks. Camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were outdated, but very clean. Verizon cell was very good. Water access at the site was difficult - in the ground. Would have been helpful to have a map at the entrance.
