Park host was very hospitable. I work industrial cleaning and maintenance at multiple pulp, paper, and chemical facilities and it was never an issue to extend or move to another site if needed.

This park is a small, 25 spot campground sitting on the Arkansas river with water and electric only. There is no dumpster however they have a trailer that you throw your garbage into. The only problem is it is parked in the way of getting to the dump station. There are two ways to get to the park. Our RV GPS and a sign next to the highway sent us down a road that was nothing but flooded potholes. Also we made it, it was rough and aggravating. Go to the entrance marked Blankenship rd which was smooth. Only other issue is that the park does not have a safe feel about it.

The park is easy to access from a main road, is beautiful and the restrooms are the cleanest I ever experienced at a campground. One can choose to be waterside or secluded in a forested loop.

Thr park is clean, easy to access, has warm showers and varied camping. One can chose to be waterside or secluded in a forested loop.
The park hostess is the best I have ever met. She is always available, knows her park, keeps a watchful eye on the park and truly cares about her campers.

The hostess at Rising Star Campground was warm and welcoming - just what we needed after 10 hours of driving. She made sure we had all the info we needed about the campground. The facilities were maintained extremely well. It is a beautiful campground right on the Arkansas River.
