What Guests Are Saying
Willow Beach is a spacious and well-maintained campground offering a quiet atmosphere with beautiful views of the Arkansas River and ample wildlife. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, attentive camp hosts, and numerous recreational activities such as biking, walking, and fishing. While some concerns were raised about dated restroom facilities and occasional bug issues, overall, guests highly recommend this peaceful getaway and express a desire to return.

The campground is nice enough but nothing spectacular. The biggest issue is that the locals seem to cruise through the park, including the campground area, and some drive rather fast.

The campground is beautiful!! Small and quiet. We were here in September and it was perfect, May brought LOTS of insects and biting bugs to us, not so fun!! Bring spray in the spring to enjoy this gem!

We have always enjoyed staying there because it is nice and quiet. The gate attendants are very nice and helpful. But this last time, the grass was not mowed, causing more snakes and mosquitoes than we have seen. I understand that the core of engineers had cut back in hiring out contractors and relying on the attendants to do those jobs. It will be a shame if these parks are not kept up. We did reserve for August and u hope that this is taken care of before then. I live camping there but not if the grass isn’t cut or the bathrooms aren’t attended to.

Everything was good except that the dump station was closed and we had to search for one. I feel that this is something that people should have been made aware of before checking in. Also, the grass needed to be mowed.
We used the pavilion for a reunion and other than the high grass, everyone enjoyed it.

Dump station was inoperative, need to install hookups in day use area and open it up to campers, install sewer throughout.

Very quiet and small campground. We are newbies to camping. Easy flat lot and hookups. Weather was a bit scary that night and a tree fell across the street. It was moved before daylight. Beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed our short stay.

Dump station closed! Grass need cutting!!!! Fell in a while because the grass was deep. Bathrooms were ok but bugs and spider webs everywhere. We canceled out 2nd night and went to a different Rec. Gov park.

We ran inot some traffic delays along the way and notified the camp hosts that we would be late. They were very accomodating, told us not to worry and to be safe. When we arrived, they escorted us to our site after 10 p.m.!
The site, the campground the river were all beautiful and perfect and the bathroom facilities were in line with COE Camps and state parks. We will be back.
