Loved this campground. Best shower I’ve had in years! Beautiful and quiet.

We love Carter Cove and go there several times a year. The campgrounds are always clean and well taken care of. The camp host are amazing. We enjoy the fishing and kayaking. We live within 30 minutes of the Cove and always enjoy our trips there. You have your pick of 4 campgrounds right here in our yard. We can choose between Petit Jean, Dardanelle, Blue Mountain and Nimrod all within a few minutes of home. We enjoy the Cove more than any of the others. The grandsons choose the Cove over any of the other places we could go. Especially Spring Break when the campground is full of kiddos for them to play with.

Phone service extremely limited. Trying to have a working vacation almost impossible due to lack of service.

Spot 19 was nice, campers are close together. The bath house next to it was locked but the one on the other side of the park was open. No real cell service or over the air channels.

We love our site at this campground. Very quiet even on the weekend when it was full. Our only criticism would be the parking pads. There is a steep drop off on almost all of them - up to a 6 inch drop. So be careful pulling in and out and watch where you park. Have some AT&T service, and with our booster had good service.

We had a family reunion there. It was very nice and shady. Playground area is next to the pavilion which makes it nice to keep an eye out for the kids. Restrooms are fairly close and very clean. All in all we had a great time and look forward to another reunion at Lake Nimrod.

The campsite was tiny and full of trash. Campsite were very close to each other and it was very crowded. I am afraid it was the worst camping experience I had so far.

The campsites are very close together with little privacy. Most are level with easy electric and water hook-up. Family sites are available.
This park is perfect for those with fishing boats, pontoons, etc.
