Restroom is over ran with bugs and webs. I didn't use the shower due to the amount of bugs. Overall, the site served it's purpose that I was there for but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. Sites are unlevel and tight. Weekends are crowded with local fishing tournaments. Dump station is spacy and easy to access.

Park is in need if a little of maintenance. Tree stumps, debris everywhere. Ants running rampant, infested the campers. Grills are piled with ashes. Need more 50 amps spaces.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent stay at Carter Cove over the holiday weekend. I reserved and paid $488 for a double space with plans to enjoy a camping trip with my family. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations.
When we arrived on Friday to set up, we found the campsite in very poor condition. The grass and weeds were knee-high, creating an unkempt and difficult environment to navigate—especially after heavy rain. Additionally, a recently cut tree had left behind a large amount of debris, and the fire pit contained multiple used baby diapers, making it unusable for cooking.
This level of maintenance was both disappointing and concerning, particularly given the cost. A family member spoke with a Ranger who mentioned there were insufficient funds to maintain the area properly. While I understand the challenges of limited resources, it’s disheartening to pay such a premium for conditions that made the site feel neglected and unsanitary.
Regrettably, I will likely choose a different location for future trips. I truly hope improvements can be made so others can enjoy the beauty of Carter Cove without the issues we encountered.

No dumpsters were available for trash. The restrooms badly need cleaning and removal of spiderwebs.

The spot shown online was not available when we arrived. The spot we reserved online and this campground was filled with what looks like longterm residents. It was 6:30 pm when we arrived but there were no maps, poor lighting and no one around. A nice bystander who is familiar with the place did speak with us and invited us to pull into the one empty spot there was and talk to the owner in the morning. The spot available did not have water or electricity as we had requested in the reservation process nor would our rig fit. We moved on and will attempt a refund.
Not a place I would recommend - unless you are an area resident looking for a more permanent spot to reside possibly.

Beautiful location, wide site. The only issue was having to come in to the site backwards due to the angle of the curve. This put the picnic table and pavilion on the wrong side of the camper. But it was worth it for the view! We would definitely come back.

We had a great time! Cell signal is not very good at the park but we took a WeBoost and could use our phones inside the camper when needed.
