The lake is a nice small lake. The campground is well maintained and all sites are above the lake with access to lake by two launch areas. We were in site #11 which is a little unlevel but shaded. Bathhouse is not cleaned well.

We did visit several other COE campgrounds on the lake - Quarry Cove is the nicest. No sites have direct access to the water, but most are shaded. Sites have some separation and are staggered which makes the site feel larger. The bathrooms are not cleaned well, and the showers are an odd, almost unusable configuration.
You can pull your boat up on the shore by the boat ramp is you want to leave it overnight.

We had an amazing time. The swim area was devine. We camped one night on our way to TX and one night on our way back from TX. Both times were amazing.
On the way back we were actually booked for a sight at a neighboring campground on the same lake. We arrived and attempted to go swimming and it was nothing but a muddy area that was not maintained. We rebooked at Quarry Cove that same night, packed up and headed back to Quarry Cove.
I can not say enough about how beautiful, calming and refreshing it was to be at the campground. We will definitely be planning a trip back.
