Unfortunately, this was our worst experience in 45 years. The bathrooms had no soap in them and we asked the "fill in" gate attendant about it. We had mentioned it to the regular gate attendant prior only to be told that he did not want to put soap in the auto dispensers because kids play with them and get soap on the floor. I don't know any kids that would stand in front of an automatic soap dispenser for an extended amount of time just to get soap all over the floor ( it would take too long). Regardless, maintenance was called as well as the park Ranger in charge of the campground attendants. Soap was put in the bathrooms problem solved right?........NOT !!! We had left the campground and upon returning, the regular gate attendants were at the gate house unloading their groceries. We stopped to say hi like we always do however, they both began yelling and cursing us like we were criminals for calling their boss. We have been friends with these people for several years and this totally shocked us and hurt my wife more than she ever deserved from them. They thought we had called their supervisor and reported them ,Which We Did Not, the substitute gate attendant had made the call. Regardless, NO ONE should ever be treated as bad as we were for no reason. We are still having effects from the pandemic and soap is a huge asset in beating this thing so people (customers) should not have been denied that necessity anyway. We were not impressed by the way this situation was handled with such a hurtful and demeaning action. Professionalism and courtesy have gone by the wayside in our society these days. The best part of this was the Park Ranger Lisa, she was the shining light and kept our spirits up even though we were totally crushed by the situation and ready to just give up. We finished our stay with the gate attendants totally avoiding us even as they passed by our camp site a few times. We had absolutely NO apology from the attendants the rest of our stay.

Camp hosts were very friendly and took great care of the restrooms. Corps of engineers worked very hard on the swim beach and mowing. Looked great,

Always enjoy camping at Quarry Cove. Clean, less crowded, nice small beach and great fishing. Showers are too hot and cannot be adjusted down is the only real complaint.

Site 25 - Paved Pad for camper, Metal Picnic table with a small metal cover. No trees on this site but there are trees across the road that help shade a portion of the camp site in different areas thru out the day. Water pressure was good. There is grass at this site (which we like instead of dirt and rocks). All the roads in the Camping area were in great condition which made riding Road Bikes easy. Swimming area was all sand, no shade. Park was very quite during the day and at night. Saw Park ranger coming thru camp thru out the day just checking on things. No Internet Service (great for a few days). The rest room/Shower were clean but could use some updates. Door was always open so there was a lot of spiders, wasp. The shower had great hot water and doors (a lot we have been to only has curtains). Easy to back into, this site had place for camper and a different slot for you auto. No stand up grill, but there is a fire pit with a grade on top of it that you could cook on. Two boat ramps.
