What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

Beautiful park, spread out with several areas. Would like to see a beach where we could park the boat while we walked up to make sandwiches. Some site pictures don't seem to match the maps. Overall a very nice campground.

We expected a restroom to be open in the loop since no water was available at campsites. Hard to dry camp without facilities available.

Although being out of season, I didn't expect much service--I certainly expected to find a dumpster for my trash. While I sympathize with the campground hosts being quarantined due to Covid, it seems there should have been better alternatives for questions, etc. And, with the wind blowing, etc., it isn't wise to leave trash sitting out to be picked up as it will just end up in the beautiful lake. I was a bit surprised that so few campsites were open as well--given that most were filled up. Having a dozen more sites would be helpful

We were camping in December. There was no water and no toilet in the open campground, but we walked around a locked gate into the closed campground where we found fresh water and an open pit toilet. This is crazy. If you allow winter camping, you should at least have a pit toilet open. One last thing: there was no place to get rid of trash. A POORLY MANAGED CAMPGROUND (at least in winter).

I went to me campsite at 3:45pm and there was still white Subaru Outback and Camper there. Camper was not hooked up and stuff was still set up outside of camper. I went to gate and called the number on the banner. Nobody answered. I sent email and told them the same thing and to cancel my reservation for both nights. And that I as a camper shouldn’t have to police the campsite and ask people to leave I asked for full refund but got Zero reply.
I ended up going into Bentonville and renting a place at The Bike Inn with Jeremy and Tiffany. Both of which were outstanding host.
