What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

The site we were on was not even near level and very short. The camp ground is maintained very well and the bath house was kept very clean.
This is an older camp and was designed for very small campers or tents at least the area we were in and since we have a 5th wheel it was a challenge to get it level. With that said we would still return to this camp if we were in the area again.
It would be nice if they could up date the individual sites to accommodate modern larger campers.

I always enjoy the park. Mostly because of other campers but also because I like the big lots provided for each camper. I would like the grass mowed a little more often. Thank you, P. Cradduck

I have stayed at Prairie Creek for many years and usually in the same area. It's close to everywhere I want to go. I wasn't there last year because of Covid. This year I was surprised that there was no one to check me in or answer any questions....the entry booth was unattended until the weekend. You have all these rules about check-in and having documents ready but nobody was there to help. Please reinstate a fully staffed "gate house" especially during the fall craft fairs when a lot of us from out of state visit.

Overall, this campsite was a pleasure to stay at! The sites were clean and clear of debris and trash. The other campers were pretty respectful (except one consistently barking dog). It is close to Rogers for groceries and other things to do, as well as Beaver Lake. They do not have firewood at the campground, so make sure to stop at the gas station closest and they sell bundles.
My one complaint is that the vault toilet near my site smelled quite bad from a distance. I was a couple sites away and could smell it if the wind shifted or went stagnant. One of the showers also did not turn on. Other than those couple of things, the campground was nice!

Spots are very unlevel, trees next to the side of lane and road are inconvenient to backing up trailers.
