We chose this campsite for the length of the pad. We have a 42' camper plus trailer, truck and SUV and all fit! The only reason I rated 3 stars as because the drive is 90 degrees to the road. And the culvert wasn't big enough to allow us good access to the pad with such a long camper. Watch your bed rails on 5th wheels and dragging jacks when backing in and pulling out.

The weather was perfect and everything was great. My husband and I went for 3 days just for a quick get away. We only live about an hour away.

I have lived most of my life less than a hundred miles from Merrisach Lake, but I had never been there. That was a big mistake! How I could have missed such a wonderful spot? I plan to return many times!

Loop D is waterside and popular. The other campers were quiet, my site was perfect and the view amazing. The Park Attendent is hospitable and knows not inly her park but can provide information about nearby locations.

Absolutely loved it. Everything was excellent, except being able to fish from the bank. I picked the area to be able to fish from the bank due to some disability. The problem was the moss has taken over around the sea wall of the lake and fishing was almost non existent from the bank. We couldn't build a campfire to cook because of a burn ban, but there were all kinds of uncontrolled burning of fields around us. Facilities were kept clean and we still had a good time. We went to Arkansas Post museum to explore.
