Great experience. Just wish they had given advanced notice of burn ban. Suggest you call and check before reserving in dry months.

Campground was nice. Some of the spots are hard to back into. The camper spots need to be resurfaced. Overall we had a nice time and would definitely visit again. Don’t forget the bug spray. Mosquitoes are big enough to breed turkeys. They are not a problem during the day.

1. bathrooms were clean but humid/hot/no air circulation (windows were open but weren't much help).
2. fire ants everywhere.
3. views good, accessibility to boat ramp good
4. that lake is not good for anything but fishing but i was aware before we went - the two rivers (3 really) are accessible by the boat ramp on the campground and other nearby boat ramps.
5. playground was decent for kids
6. security/patrolling was good/present
