What Guests Are Saying
White Rock Mountain Recreation Area offers an incredible location with stunning views of the Boston mountains and well-maintained rustic cabins. The friendly and helpful staff, particularly the camp hosts, contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, making it a peaceful retreat for visitors. While access involves a challenging gravel road, the overall experience, including the clean facilities and beautiful hiking trails, makes it well worth the journey.

Do not waste your time with this place. We booked cabin B on June 26 and 27. The shut the water off to the cabins the second day we were there for 6 hours. We left a day early and when I tried to get a refund for our last day it was denied by the manager Amanda. She is a private contractor running this facility and she is terrible at it. She is the rudest, meanest, condescending, and unprofessional person they could have to deal with the public. I tried to explain to her why we left a day early and our need for water in the cabin. She would not listen to me, interrupted, and yelled at me several times and accused me of trying to scam her. She told me losing water was not that big of deal. I tried to ask for her supervisor and she said she did not have one. I finally convinced her she must have a supervisor and she told me to call the S. F. National Forest Office. As I asked her 3 times for the name of the person i needed to ask for at the S. F. office. She hung up the phone on saying "You have a nice day sir!" I spoke to the Ranger responsible for this area and he advised the refund decision is totally up to Amanda. He said this was the first complaint he had received about her. I'm not surprised since anyone wanting to complain she tells them she has no supervisor and refuses to give you any contact information. You will have to dig and dig for contact information. Good luck trying to talk with anyone in the N. F. Office. Everyone works from home. emails and phones listed don't work. She is God at this facility and If you don't like your stay, you have no recourse or support from the Forestry Department. They are dirty cabins; the staff does not clean them and their full of spiders. Not sure why they can't keep them clean. You must clean the entire cabin before you leave, take out all the trash and do all the dishes. You bring all the sheets and towels with you from home so there is no laundry they must do.

We stayed in lot 9 and loved it. Over all it was a great experience. It is beautiful up on white rock and the lot was well maintained. We loved the little general store for souvenirs. I recommended signage for lot 9 to the host because it was advertised as a private loop but we had several people driving up and around our lot, but it wasn’t horrible. The only complaint was all of the raccoons, they would not leave us alone, even after chasing them off. To finish this off, I would recommend this place to anyone!
