What Guests Are Saying
Plaskett Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting just a short walk from Sand Dollar Beach, making it a great spot for camping. Many visitors praised the friendly camp hosts and the spacious, scenic environment, ideal for families and pets. However, the campground faces criticism due to the lack of potable water and restroom facilities, with porta potties being the only option, which some found unsatisfactory.

the host is very friendly. campsite is very close to a beach and a few trails. u may or may not (depending on the location of ur spot) have a very tiny view of the ocean from ur spot. none of the spots r completely flat. toilets were clean but 3 out of 8 toilets were closed (with no sign on them) and none of the toilets had water in the sink to wash ur hands.

This camping site was my one of the finest decision ever make for camping. The site number 11 was very comfy and easy access to restroom and the site manager Michael and his wife. They are very very helpful and super friendly as well as share information for things to do in there.
Also, this camping area has some good quick stopped areas to see great views.
Definitely 5 stars for camping.

Just wrapped up my first visit to Plaskett Creek Campground and wow! What a way to kick off this camping season. Punky, Michael and Bubba (their dog) were the most helpful, informative and welcoming camp hosts I have ever met. They made our groups first visit an enjoyable experience. Oh and the campground was gorgeous as well.

Great campground. #33 is best site, very remote. Great facilities, clean, water, flush toilets, friendly host. Wood is priced steep at $15.

What a cool campground this is! Worth every extra mile we had to drive to get there (Hwy 1 was closed so detoured us through Paso Robles and back up coming from Monterey).
We were right by the entrance of the site and we had ocean view...! The cliffs on the other side of the road are superb and there is plenty to explore nearby. The campground is beautiful but no showers nor working sinks in the bathrooms, so beware if you are staying more than a few nights. You may need to bring your portable shower bags or be good with wipes :)
Love love all the CA state parks campgrounds and this one makes top 3

The campground is immaculate and extremely well maintained. When we first arrived we met the hosts Punky and Michael. Very friendly and fun to chat with. They helped make our stay memorable. Looking forward to another visit this year. Some people have commented on Poison Oak, yes it is around and you will be just fine if you stay on trails and don't venture into the scrub. They have flushing toilets but no handwashing facilities so be prepared. There are faucets of potable water throughout the campground.
