No potable water or flush toilets as was expected based on online information. No prior notice that facilities were unavailable. Firewood is very expensive - $15 per bundle. Based on PMC Parks information, firewood should have been $10/bundle: "Firewood:
All of our campgrounds which have hosts on site sell firewood. They sell for $10 per bundle. You are also welcome to bring your own, but please do try to buy where you will burn." The location is nice, that's about it.

Porta pots and non potable water is the current situation at your campground. That is tough when hoping to stay in your beautiful location for more than 2-3 days. If it is for financial reasons the bathroom facilities are not up and running, then hope funds can became available again soon.
Location is stunning and campground layout is great, it truly is a gem. Just hope the amenities can get back to a better maintained state.

I am a foreigner traveling for several months around the world. We camped in 6 national parks and their state campgrounds for 3 weeks this summer and all went well until I made the mistake of booking this campground which at first seemed great to me… My first mistake was to book a group site (at $150) without realizing it because I thought that the prices in the area were much higher than in the national parks (by studying other campsites the prices were higher). Then, our GPS took us as always following the directions of the recration.gov application to our location. I had doubts about this location but we did not find anyone the same evening or the next morning to confirm that we were in the right place. So we left to discover the Monterrey aquarium, leaving our camp. We had a problem with our car in Monterrey which required us to spend the night there. Coming back the following day at the end of the day, our tent had disappeared... We took a good hour to find a guard to get an explanation. We were in the wrong location and they had to move our tent to make room for people who had booked at this location. We were dropped our tent with our bulk bags in it at our site (at $150\night) for a group when we are a family of 3. We left the next day with no regrets. My opinion on this campsite is that everything seemed vague to me, whereas everything was very clear in the 6 other state campsites that I was able to do with my family. Lastly, I found the staff rude. They look like thugs out of an old 80s B series… Aside from our last bad camping experience in the American West, the campsite is quite nice with a view of the sea for group sites at $150, if you have the means, don't hesitate...

There are only heavily used porta-potties and no potable water available at the campground. Camp sites are very nice and location is wonderful!

NO WATER AT CAMPGROUND. The posted description says they have flush toilets and water faucets, but they don't--grubby vault toilets only. The business that runs the campground for the Parks Service charges $5 for a gallon of drinking water. The campground is otherwise very nice, and the beach across the street is spectacular.
