Everything was very clean, especially the bathrooms. Camp hosts were great! If it weren't for bad weather, it would have been a perfect camping experience.

The camp hosts were wonderful. We arrived and realized our site wasn’t accomodating for our pickup and cabover camper. We notified them and they moved us to a much nicer site with no issues whatsoever. They proceeded to clean the new site in a manner not expected. They literally scrubbed the bear locker despite me telling her it wasn’t necessary. The campground was beautifully maintained and the restrooms (running water) were some of the cleanest I’ve seen at any campground.

We stayed at Four Jeffery for 3 nights, in the end of August. Campground was very clean, and bathroom exceeded our expectations. Flush toilets, sink with running water and light turns on automatically when you enter!
Site 7 is by the creek, aspen trees provide some shade. We slept comfortably in the tent, though the ground was not perfectly level. Short drive to hiking trails at South lake and Sabrina lake.

The camp host of the site were very helpful and hospitable. They came by my camp site to introduce themselves and make sure my camping experience was going well. I highly recommend Four Jeffreys camp site. I can't wait to go back.

We always stage our backcountry trips out of 4 Jeffrey. Susan is an excellent host - very considerate and informative. Sites are well groomed and the bathrooms are cleaned.

Great spot, especially in summer when temperature is hot. Elevation cools off at night.

Four Jeffery camp hosts were friendly and very helpful. The campground and bathrooms were probably the cleanest I've ever seen at any campground. The location felt like an escape into nature, but still close enough to Bishop for groceries and supplies. The higher elevation kept things cooler than down near Bishop, which made the stay even more comfortable.

Love this campground. Convenient to both North Lake and South Lake trailheads. Lots of sites to choose from. The restrooms were well maintained. Best campground hosts ever!

Getting There
From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 168) and continue west for 14 mi, then drive south on South Lake Road. The campground is 1 mi up South Lake Road.

General
- Bears frequent the area; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating
- Two pets per site and leashed at all times.
- Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
