What Guests Are Saying
Four Jeffrey Campground offers a beautiful and clean camping experience, with well-maintained facilities and friendly, attentive hosts. The campground is praised for its immaculate bathrooms and helpful camp managers, making it an excellent choice for acclimating before heading into the wilderness. While some sites lack shade and bugs can be an issue, the overall atmosphere, scenic surroundings, and access to hiking trails make it a highly recommended destination for campers.

Some of the bathroom fixtures weren’t working. Only on the second night were we alerted to recent sightings of a bear and a mountain lion. Info like this should be posted near the campground entrance.

Four Jeffrey is a great campground in one of my favorite Eastern Sierra canyons: Bishop Creek Canyon. There are some great sites right by the creek, but the upper sites have some great views of the night sky. If you are in one of the upper sites away from the creek, be sure to bring a sun shade. The campground is clean and well taken care of by the hosts who were super friendly. Highly recommended for a fishing or hiking trip. It is also our basecamp when we go backpacking out of South Lake, Lake Sabrina or North Lake. A good way to acclimate to higher elevation since the campground sits at about 8,100 feet. Highly recommended!

Great campground, terrific hosts, very clean restrooms. The only issue I have is that there aren’t very many level sites in the campground.

Campsites were well groomed, bathroom were supper clean, and personnel very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at 4 Jeffrey a lot.
4 Jeffrey is close to superb network of trails and adventures for these people who would like to explore more than usual. This year there was a lot of water flowing but all the crossings were well prepared and safe to use.
I would recommend Four Jeffrey to anyone who loves camping and hiking.

Clean campground, clean bathroom with flush toilet, sink, and mirror. Campers were also nice and respectful of each other. I would definitely make reservations again!

We had 5 campers and some of the sites weren’t large enough for our party.

Great spot to see moderately dark skies; close to services in Bishop and hiking out of Sabrina. Flush toilets and Bear boxes were working properly. NPS should consider voluntary dark nights where campers are encouraged to reduce lighting earlier to allow for better views of night time skies.
