What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Lake campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with friendly and helpful camp hosts. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, ample outdoor activities like fishing and hiking, and the scenic locations of the campsites. However, some campers noted the proximity of sites, potential bear encounters, and the need for better signage during check-in as areas for improvement.

Great campground and camp hosts! Loved that they were proactive and left a 5gal bucket at every site to drown out campfires. It's cold up here at night even in the middle of the summer, lots of people making campfires even first thing in the morning.

What a wonderful spot! I have views but I did have to hike all my gear up a small trail. Next time, smaller ice chest. It is at almost 10,000' MSL and so be prepared. They have a couple of bears that I did not see, they're a shower and food at the nearby resort. One of the best lake hikes around is about 2 mi away out of Mosquito Flats - Gem Lakes. Defiantly will be back. Camp hosts are wonderful and the restrooms were spotless.

This is a stunning campground, and the hikes around are even more gorgeous--be sure to check out Little Lakes Valley hike. The campground hosts were possibly the best campground hosts we have ever had. They went above and beyond to help us with our site, and truly made our stay magical. They were professional, generous, and incredibly hard working. Cannot recommend this campground enough! The lake front sites (#1-6) are the most beautiful if you are willing to walk your gear in a short distance. We definitely plan to come again!

Campsites are difficult to find and not easily numbered, but our site was tucked away from the lakeshore, behind site #25. Bearbox has the site # marked. Requires some walking to get to the site from the parking lot. Otherwise, site is nice and mostly secluded in the trees and behind boulders. Surrounding campsites are close to the stream and lake. Restrooms also clean (flush and with sink). Host was friendly and informative. We used this campground as a launching point for backpacking to Little Lakes Valley.
