What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Lake offers a stunning campground with beautiful views, plenty of hiking trails, and excellent opportunities for fishing and paddleboarding. The camp hosts, Jean and Luis, are highly praised for their friendliness and cleanliness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While some sites require a walk to access facilities and mosquitoes can be a nuisance, many guests express a strong desire to return for the overall positive experience.

Loved it here! Lake is walking distance and the bathrooms were really clean. Ranger/ Camp host on site and he seems very nice. The only thing is that you need to carry you gear to the site but it’s not fair from the parking spaces. I had site number 17 and it’s one of the closest to the parking. There’s level spaces blocked up for your tents. Some of the sites sit close together but it’s pretty spacious so your not camping with you neighbors. Would like to go back.

Lovely location and facilities! We camped at site 1, which unfortunately has zero shade during the day, so we just moved to a day use picnic table along the lake for the day. While camping here, DO NOT MISS the Rock Creek Lakes Resort— you can visit them for breakfast, lunch, groceries, or $5 showers, and they're just a quick walk across the main road. I've stayed at this campground before a few years back, and sadly had no idea about the resort and their fabulous pies!!! Don't miss them, they stop serving food at 3pm. Also the Gem Lakes trail and hiking up to Ruby Lake are some of my favorite eastern sierra trails, and I've hiked a lot of em!

When I booked the reservation on-line it gave me an option for Tent or RV. I chose the tent option. When I arrived at the site it was marked RV ONLY - there was no tent pad. I spoke to the Camp Host and he said there was nothing he could do so we had to go look for another camp site that would honor our reservation. Very disappointing as the Camp Host stated this was not the first time this had happened.
