What Guests Are Saying
White Cloud is a clean and lovely campsite with well-maintained areas for tents and a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for a getaway. While there is no water available (even non-potable) and the bathrooms occasionally lack supplies, many guests appreciated the clean vault toilets and the presence of friendly camp hosts. The site offers plenty of shade, access to nearby hiking trails, and a tranquil setting, making it a favorable choice for campers prepared for the limitations.

Loved it here! Awesome for group camping, but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a site with privacy because they are close together. It works out though if you’re looking to occupy multiple sites next to each other. Grills were clean, some sites had bear safes. The sites in the middle are more shaded than others. Close drive to Scott’s Flat Lake (20 min or less). Definitely will come back.

Great camping spot. Restrooms were very clean (no flush however) and stocked with toilet paper. No showers, but the water spigots next to us were good to rinse our feet off or use a towel to wipe off our dust. Our campsite (#28) had a bear box which was nice. Right next to the freeway so if you're looking for silence this might not be the spot.
It's about 20 minutes from Scotts Flat Reservoir which is where we went to hang out during the day. Overall very great spot in the trees and we had a good time!

Everything was great, nice big campsites, nice fire rings, but no flushing toilets. That being said they did clean the bathrooms daily.

Good spacing between campsites, and plenty of access to clean vault toilets and water. Definitely can hear road noise from adjacent highway. Proximity to awesome trail.

Fantastic campground. The hosts were fantastic, bear box was clean, and bathrooms were also clean. The campsite was quite dusty with red dirt, more than usual campsites.

Really well located campsite. I was able to mountain bike with my brother easily right from the camp with 20+ miles of track. You can just as easily hike it on foot just watch our for bikes. My dog was able to even go off leash with me on the trail very easily.
Sites are close to the road, but the sound really isn't that bad. No close swimming areas to walk to, but you can easily drive to Scotts Flats or anywhere on the South Yuba River to swim at. So within 15-30 minutes.
Running water as well as clean bathrooms during our stay. Met the best local resident, Winona, on our trip. She is a pup who gets to wander the camp area whenever she pleases since she lives nearby. As a heads up she woke my husky and I up at 4:30am to play. Couldn't stay mad at her after she did the most adorable belly rolls. She ended up hanging out at our campsite for a good portion of the day and even went on the trail with us. 10/10 would definitely come back to hangout with Winona!!

We had a very good camping experience. Just a note, however. Site 34 is mostly in the sun and it’s not shaded as in the picture on campsite photos.com. They have cut down quite a few trees since that picture was taken.

When we were there around Labor Day 2019, there was a lot of tree-clearing that had been going on around the power line running nearby. We had a site that was right on the edge of that work, so there was a lot of bark and wood chips covering the ground, and not a lot of shade. This didn't bother us too much though, as we were really only there for sleeping. Since then, the area might have gotten cleaned up a bit. Everything else was great!

It is a nice campground. Not all the toilets were working.
