What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, making it an ideal spot for both short stopovers and extended stays. The campground is well-maintained, with daily bathroom cleaning and convenient amenities like firewood sales and a nearby store. However, many sites lack shade and privacy, and bear encounters can be an issue, particularly for campers with food safety concerns. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment and recreational opportunities available in this picturesque area.

Stunning location! Hike the Convict Lake Loop - be prepared to ford the rushing, COLD stream below the peak! We took our boots off and used a stick for balance.

Campground attendants are extremely helpful and friendly. You can hike around the lake or fish for trout that were biting when I was there.

This campground is in a beautiful location, and my campsite had a nice view of the lake basin. I always want peace and quiet when camping, and for the most part, that was true here. however, there were a few sites that ignored night quiet hours, and campground personnel did nothing about it. I would not want to be there on a holiday weekend.

We had a great site on the creek and my wife caught her first trout after I gave her a fly fishing lesson. Beautiful views of the mountains.

beautiful area & great proximity to the trails around Convict Lake, it was very windy during the afternoon & evening in early May but it quieted down a bit at night

Wonderful campground. Beautiful area/scenery. The campground is well staffed with hosts. The toilets are impeccable; always being cleaned, well stocked with paper. This campground sets the standard for sanitary conditions! The hosts are there almost immediately after a guest departs to clean up the camp for the next incoming party! Plenty of signage/maps to clarify the trails. Plenty of signage driving home the leave-no-trace ethics/rules/regulations. Didn't experience noisy neighbors/loud generators after hours/etc. 5 star experience over all!!
