What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

Everyone was really helpful. It was easy checking in and out. The sites were very clean and everyone was respectful and quiet at night. Don’t forget to look up. The stars are incredible.

I rate Site 38 as one of the best in this campground, for the following reasons: 1. It's 65 feet long (on the centerline), so there's enough room for the largest RV's, or for two families to share the site. I've had a 30 foot Class C, a Rav4, and a 10' x 14' tent all on the parking pad, with 5 feet to spare. 2. If you are tent camping, and don't have an RV with all the amenities, this site is only 80 feet from the nearest restroom, and 50 feet from the nearest dishwashing sink. 3. It's 850 feet walking distance to the patio at the visitor center. only a little longer to walk than the closest sites, 86 and 87, which are 500 feet. 4. The site is as flat and level as you will find anywhere, certainly more level than any of the sites in Sunset campground across the road, so it works great for either tent or RV camping. There are some Tamarisk trees along the back of the site that you could sit under for shade in the late afternoon on a warm day.

It’s a very nice campground. You aren’t to close to others so it’s still relaxing. The layout of the walk in loop is slightly confusing so definitely check a map to find out where your site actually is, but the walk to it isn’t bad. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. I would recommend this campground!

Great campground but all it takes is one crotchity old volunteer of a campground host to ruin the whole experience. I don't know why people who are so miserable become campground hosts but they've got a king troll working Furnace Creek. Watch out! He will yell at you for anything. Yelled at me for pouring a bucket of water over my head onto the asphalt after a motorcycle ride. Please do not hire miserable boomers like this is campground hosts.
