Dogwood Campground is consistently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities, including flush toilets and hot showers. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the serene and private atmosphere provided by spacious campsites nestled among trees. While some visitors noted minor inconveniences, such as the price increase for firewood and challenges with tent placement, the overall experience remains highly rated, making it a popular choice for families and repeat visitors.

Trees Trees and more beautiful trees! Large spacious sites. Hosts are on top of cleaning and maintenance. Some sites are not level and ours was like that ONLY issue was the tent location-very close to where another camper set theirs and we could hear them snoring! But that’s where the flattest location was for site 39! Luckily not keeping me from sleeping. The other thing is a female host that is aggressive in her perception of how big a piece of wood s/b! If it’s the same host then she’s consistent at least; in 2019 someone else reviewed “her” in this light! All in all it’s a great campsite and the hosts take care of it well and it’s very peaceful and beautiful! (This site does include some noise from the HS and light road traffic but if you pretend it’s the ocean it’s all good lol!).

Always a great time at dogwood campground. It’s in an easy access location but more quiet than you’d expect

We had an awesome 2 week stay in the forest at Dogwood campground.
I would like to give a special THANK YOU to the following super hard working and friendly employees, who made our stay extra nice.
Thank you Dan, Karen, and Pete who worked long hard hours to insure the campsites, roads, and bathrooms were always spotless!
Thank you Regina who always ran the entry shack with a smile, and for delivering firewood directly to our campsite.
We have been RVers for 35 years, and have never found a cleaner or friendlier federal campground which is saying a lot!!
The campground management, and more importantly the guests are lucky to have all of you on staff.....

Oh my goodness!! I have done a LOT of camping in my 71 years…but this is the cleanest and best run campground I have ever experienced!! The staff is fantastic and they go above and beyond on all fronts! We have stayed in Dogwood four times this year and have two more planned before they shut down for the winter. I highly recommend this campground!! Only a 12 minute drive to Lake Gregory in Crestline-where you can swim, fish, hike and boat!! What a treasure this campground is!! And all of that is only an hour drive from Los Angeles!! This campground is really a hidden treasure.
