Our campsite was very spacious and private at site 26. Our only complaint was that the neighbors next door are very close and they have 6 dogs that bark at all hours for long periods of time. But the site was nice and great bathrooms. We ended up going to Big Bear for the day as the lake was very green with an algae super bloom and dogs weren’t allowed to swim at the beach. Enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t stay again. Hosts were lovely!

Campsite 33 - we started with this site (family of 5). It was a bit tight so we moved to campsite 34/35 (with permission from the camp hosts). There is a difference in cost as 34/35 is a family site but well worth the price difference! While 33 was beautifully maintained and 2 tents can fit on the back side of the site (that is like a peninsula) with a creek on either side it is small for a family of five. 34/35 was also beautifully maintained and can easily fit 4 tents (if not five). Two bear boxes and 360 around the fire pit for plenty of chairs. There a small creek running through the entrance (so cute) and a hiking trail off the back side. During the day there are hikers but once night fell we were by ourselves with no interruptions.

The camp hosts (Judy & Ed) were fantastic! They made this a 5 star campground for us. Such a delight and very helpful. We are a camping family and have been to several campgrounds surrounding the LA area and Ed & Judy are the best camp hosts we've encountered. They made our 1 wk stay even better!

The bathrooms are cleaned daily, often twice a day and the camp hosts make their rounds multiple times throughout the day. This is the cleanest campground we've been to and will 100% recommend this campground!

If there is one negative to this campground it is that there are no showers and no public showers offered in town. After swimming in the lake one would want to wash off but you will need to drive to Dogwood Campground (30 mins away) to access their showers. While this is not a deal breaker for us (we will definitely be back) it is something to consider while selecting a campground.

Spacious, shady and campsites with clean restrooms. So many hikes to go on starting at the campground. Judy, the camp host was very helpful with information about the events in the local area. It's just a mile from town, so it was easy to go replenish items like food and ice cream. Our family had 6 campsites and thoroughly enjoyed our time in GV. There was something for everyone from all ages to enjoy.
