Ranger says that the site fee includes one vehicle while the recreation.gov web page clearly states 2 vehicles. Charged me $20.. No contest.

Big argument with neighbors on both sides of me.. Both insisting that the tent sites were theirs.. Leaving me with nothing. Very bad vibe. Tent areas should be clearly marked as to which tent areas goes with which site

Absolutely no shade. Spots are pretty close to each other too. Bring a screen room or go when it's cool.

I've been to this campground many times. Mainly for fishing the Little Truckee.
The campground itself is ok, but sone of the sites are very close to each other (especially the sites along the river, mainly catering to rv's), the spots at the back ( site 8- through 11) are better for tent camping and offer some shade.
The fishing is great, so I'll definitely keep coming here at least once a year.
There are OHV trails across the road, these trails are also nice for hiking. When hiking up these trails you get beautiful view of the Little Truckee valley and Stampede reservoir.
I preferred this campground before they redid the sites.
The vault toilets are super clean ( cleaned daily).

A small but clean & quiet camp ground with the river running beside to it. Camp hosts were very friendly.

Well maintained pit toilets and attentive camp host. Only negative I have is camper next to me played music that spoiled the outdoor camping experience in the mountains. That said, they did stop after a short time.
