What Guests Are Saying
French Meadows offers a beautiful and remote camping experience with clean facilities, spacious sites, and easy access to a lovely lake for swimming and kayaking. Campers appreciate the quiet atmosphere and helpful staff, though some note that the roads can be challenging and the descent to the water is steep and rocky, making it less suitable for families with young children. Overall, visitors enjoy the scenic views, cleanliness, and tranquility of the campground.

Great campground out in the forest. The lake is super nice and clean enough to swim in. There is no real "beach" just a lot of rocks so bring shoes with you. Plenty of off road forest service trails to check out as well.

Amazing location and nice campsite. restrooms as is expected not very clean but the location and the views compensates for that.

Nice campgrounds and place was well kept. Only three stars because the camp host was nom existent. First night a group of 6 cars partied until midnight keeping everyone awake and the host didn't shut them down. Second night another group partied till midnight, again keeping everyone awake. Seems like a good place to party for naive city people since no one working there cares about 10pm curfew.
Also flushing toilets kept being opened for an hour and then locked again for rest of the day. Which made it a long hike to the other bathrooms.
Was a great place and nice camp, just had the luck to have neighbors that were too self centered to care about others around them.

We went stayed here June 14-17, 2020. This is a nice clean campground and the fishing was surprisingly good. Unfortunately, the reservoir was very windy during our stay which made boating and fishing almost impossible. It's also a long walk to the shoreline unless you snag a site near the lake. We probably won't rerun.
