This campground is a great place to go to get away from it all! There is almost no light pollution, so star gazing is amazing! The hosts are around every few hours and will engage with you as you desire.
I stayed here because the campgrounds of Yosemite were all full. While the 30-mile drive to the campground did take an hour - and caused some stress for this flat lander - the views were amazing. Watch for cows on the road.

41 by itself is 3/5 stars. If your able to reserve #43 (first come basis) And have these two spots then it’s really nice. 5/5
#41 only has two car spots. #44 has 2/3 car lengths. They both has flat dirt and near restroom. Recommend only if ur able to get both.

Unfortunately, we had our RV inadvertently upgraded to a longer vehicle 😕
The site warden was cool and took it all in his stride and left us take a different spot. The location is stunning and everything was just as we expected.

Lovely campsite. Kids had an awesome afternoon swimming. The cleanest, best smelling vault toilet I have ever seen. Hosts there were so nice and kept the campground perfectly tidy. Great job.

We had an amazing time at Cherry Valley! What a fantastic campground. Camp hosts where great and the grounds are kept up nicely. Great basecamp for hiking the northern trails of Yosemite. Spectacular wilderness in every direction. If a truly peaceful wilderness experience is what you want, this is the place. Hiked into an alpine lake and the beauty and majesty of Yosemite truly shines up here!
Will definitely be back to explore many more trails and waters of the this stunning slice of heaven!
