Pro: The campground itself was well cared for and clean. I mean I’ve never seen vault toilet restrooms cleaner.

Con: However it was a bit hotter during the day and the lake level was really low. This made it for a pretty miserable experience due to the lack of water all around. It’s also quite a bit off the beaten path.

One of the most beautiful camping spots I have ever stayed at. It is a good drive to get there but it is worth it. I recommend downloading offline maps because there is no service out there. Also there is an amazing lake to go swimming close to the campsites.

Overall great campground. Host made multiple passes by the bathrooms (pit toilets) each day and they were always clean. No running water due to drought (5/2021). Campsites were well-spaced apart. Lots of shade, plenty of trees for hammocks. Mosquitoes were less of a problem than I thought they were going to be being so close to water.

A bit of a drive to get to the water. We ended up driving to Lake Eleanor and doing a 5ish mile hike.

There were some neighbor kids playing with flashlights, other neighbors with generators but that's the luck of the draw for our visit, so no bad marks for the campground. Please remember to be a courteous neighbor and leave your generators at home.

Some campsites have a creek running in the back of them, so check around.

Would definitely return here!

the campground was very clean and quiet. There was no service with Verizon. The worst part is actually getting there. we drove about 20 miles on very winding, sometimes single-lane roads with low visibility. Be prepared to drive slow. would rate it 5 stars if not for the road there.

The road getting to the campground is a serious ascent. The campground is nice, there's plenty of space for campers. I would not pay for a double spot again though. There were single spots with several people, tents, and autos. Why pay double? The restrooms were cleaned daily and the ranger was helpful regarding the best way to yet to Yosemite.
