The road getting to the campground is a serious ascent. The campground is nice, there's plenty of space for campers. I would not pay for a double spot again though. There were single spots with several people, tents, and autos. Why pay double? The restrooms were cleaned daily and the ranger was helpful regarding the best way to yet to Yosemite.

First time at Cherry Lake campground my kids loved it. the best experience for a 4 year old will return again. Restroom were super clean. Bring plenty of drinking water. 6 hour drive from Los Angeles.

Only stayed one night but very nice location; a bit remote took us 1.5 hours to go 26 miles from the hwy 120 on a very windy road hugging the mountainside.

Stayed in Mid/late June at side 42. The space was great, with trees to hammock and plenty of shade. We were a bit close to one group near us, but to the other side there was no one, so it was nice to have some space. The campground is great location, easy drive to hiking trails in Yosemite or to the lake itself. I recommend Lake Eleanor in Yosemite.
The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with toilet paper. The host was super friendly.

We liked it very much, the bathrooms were very clean and the environment was very quiet, the ranger was very friendly and super attentive, the only thing that needs to be improved is the road to get there because it was very small

Campground can be reached from Hwy 120 using Cherry Lake Road also known as Forest Road (FR) 1N07 or from Cottonwood Road also known as FR 1N04.
-Traveling from Hwy 120, go East from Groveland 13.8 miles turn left on Cherry Lake Road/1N07 for 23.5 miles where it becomes Cottonwood Road. Turn left and travel approximately 0.5 miles North. You will see the Cherry Valley Campground sign turn right North East .75 miles to campground.
-Traveling from Tuolumne, turn onto Buchanan Road this turns into Cottonwood Road/1N04 and travel approximately 30 miles. Turn left at Cherry Valley Campground sign. NOTE: The Tuolumne route is advisable for RV’s and towing.
Cherry Valley Campground is accessible via Hwy 120, which is approximately 13.8 miles from Groveland. Access is also available from Cottonwood Road, which is connected to Buchanan Road from Tuolumne.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
