Peaceful campground, friendly host

The Campground is pretty and quiet, with lots of space between the sites. It was very clean. But there were a few problems. I got lots of bites on my feet being there, even though I had sandals on. There was only one faucet with potable water, the rest were broken. Since it was warm, we slept with our camper van door open, and were invaded by a mouse who went on to invade some of the cabinets and eat a few items. There are signs about Hantavirus risk, so we cleaned out the van with bleach and disinfectant thoroughly The van got sprayed by a skunk, luckily we had closed the door at that point!

Campground was clean and bathrooms were kept clean. Preventing five-star review was limited water availability. Lower part of campground was without water

Dimond O has been a regular stop the night before going into Yosemite. Decent spacing (mostly) between sites, bathrooms kept clean, leveled tent sites. Usually no noise issues. Camp host warned me about the local bear and to keep food put away, had no problems the night I was there. Close to Evergreen Lodge for dining and general store needs. Will be back.

This is a quiet, spacious campground in tall trees, lots of shade, and access to a creek.

Quiet smaller campground will flattened level spaces for tents to be set up. Very comfortable for camping. The guy chains smoking cigars was the negative. There’s a creek nearby with many dead fish in it and unmaintained trails to walk around it. It’s got some pretty flowers though.
