Our campsite was sloped and the distance from our car to the cooking/picnic table area was a bit dusty. Bathrooms were clean and trash was well-maintained. Really convenient to take the YARTS bus into Yosemite.

Used this campground as a base for visiting Yosemite National Park and I have no complaints.
20 min drive to Big Oak Flat entrance and about 1 hour from the valley floor.

As mentioned, they have a fire-pit with grill grate, picnic table, and large bear-safe food locker at each campsite. I'm not sure what the exact measurements of the locker is, but it very easily held a large cooler and large plastic bin with plenty of space on all sides around. Bathrooms are cleaned twice a day (with the comforting noticeable scent of bleach haha) and I never had an issue with toilet paper running out.

The layout of each campsites vary greatly. We stayed at Site 10 and felt the site had more privacy than the others, as it is on the end, surrounded by trees and blocked in by your car. Tent area was more or less flat and you had a nice clearing through the trees to watch the sky if you so desire.

Awesome site, great location, really quiet. Our neighbors were kind, they let us use a lighter since we forgot ours. The site doesn't list it, but there are bear boxes, which is super convenient if you are headed to Yosemite Park during the day.

first I want to mention It was my first camping vacation in the USA.
I enjoyed the camping experience very much. We came as a family with two young kids. The facilities were adequate and well maintained. The facilities are very limited (In a good way) and this is what makes it real. The camping ground and its surroundings are spotlessly clean.
Thank you for keeping it real and comfortable. We had a great time!

Lost Claim was a nice place to stay for 3 nights. We were 3 friends and we had a one car and one tent. We enjoyed the fireplace every evening. Lost Claim is a quiet campground where you have your privacy. We loved the calmness of the forest.

Came in in the dark and our site was easy to find and had no one in it. Left at first light. Served our needs perfectly.

A gem! Well tended and the campsites are decently secluded from one another. The critters are loud at night by the river so not for the light of sleepers. Not too far from the park either, although we experienced lower traffic days in general.

Nice campground about 20 minutes from the Yosemite entrance gate. Quiet at night, and pretty good separation from the adjacent campsites. Our campsite had a bit of an incline but not too bad.

{"text"=>"We stayed here for three nights in May with our rented Campervan and it was such a beautiful and quiet campground! Surrounded by beautiful nature and close to Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy (totally recommend going there, way less tourists, stunning views, also getting soaked by Wapama falls was an incredible experience), it was a lovely getaway. The hosts were the absolute best, incredibly kind and helpful and they gave us lots of recommendations and tips that made our trip even greater! If ever in the area, I would definitely come back!", "languageCode"=>"en"}
